Emotive scoops up two senior creative hires

Independent creative agency Emotive has appointed Georgie McCarthy as Associate Creative Director and Imogen Wetzell Ramsey as Senior Art Director.
The pair join the Coogee-based agency’s growing creative department, working alongside Head of Earned Creative, Jessica Cluff and Chief Creative Officer, Gavin McLeod.
The hires come as the agency continues to build momentum and sharpen its focus on emotionally-led, earned-first creativity in an AI-shaped landscape.
“We’re looking for people who are passionate about ideas that change how people feel, and who are curious about exploring AI as an amplifier of their creativity. People who take what they do seriously, but not themselves.” said McLeod. “And who don’t mind getting their hands messy when the heat’s on. With Georgie and Imo, we knew pretty quickly we were onto a good thing.”, he said.
Jess Cluff said: “Bit by bit – or should that be drip by drip – we’re building a really exciting team at Emotive. Since Gav and I joined last year, we’ve been committed to shaping a team who think differently, are tapped into culture and can hustle without forsaking their craft. Georgie and Imo do that and more. They’ve already made a big impact, contributing to a major recent pitch win. They get where we’re heading, and we’re thrilled to have them on board full-time.”
Georgie McCarthy said: “Couldn’t be more excited to join Emotive. They’re an incredibly talented bunch of people with an infectious drive to make great work. They’ve also promised us unlimited ice cream, which really sealed the deal.”
Imogen Wetzell Ramsey said: “I’m stoked to be joining Emotive full-time after freelancing with the team over the past six months. Getting to work alongside Georgie, who is an absolute gun, is a huge bonus. Gav, Jess and the team are building something with genuine momentum, and I’m excited to get stuck in and see where we can take it.”
Georgie and Imogen’s appointment comes as Emotive continues to build momentum, with recent new business wins including Google Pixel, North and El Jannah. The agency now works across more than 20 cross-category brands and reports a market-leading average client tenure of 4.7 years.
